SEC is a large gas-steam combined cycle power
plant with a capacity of 2×180MW Locating in
Shenzhen City, China.

PROBLEM

Customer has experienced sticky servo valecaused trips several times which brought themheavy loss from no guaranteed uptime. An oilsample was took and analysis report showedan MPC ΔE=43.7 that indicated high varnishpotential. The oil degradation deposits formedin oil system, shorten the lifetime of lubrication& critical components. That all pushed client totake action to prevent the occurrences ofunscheduled breakdown.

SOLUTION

Winsonda’s advance varnish removal unit(WVD-II) has been installed to the reservoir on28th Mar. 2016 which aims to mitigate thevarnish deposits and clean whole oil system.

RESULT

On 1st, April, MPC value dropped to 33.2On 18th, April, ΔE reached 19.1On 12nd, May, ΔE reached 8.3.The result was clear and client was greatsatisfied with the performance of WVD-II whenthey rechecked the servo vale with a cleanorifices condition. Moreover, all copies of oilanalysis reports showed Winsonda’s varnishremoval units was no harmful to relative oiladditives. Client expressed their ideas to keepcooperation with us oil contamination control.

WJD purification accuracy is high, and the sub-micron pollutants can be removed, and the filtration accuracy can reach 0.02 microns. System cleaning function, through the flow of electrostatic particles in the oil, all impurities such as sludge varnish and oxide attached to the oil tank, pipe wall and components are washed and adsorbed.
