PROBLEM

Lubricating oil was contaminated thathas impact on lubrication performance.Lube test shows high varnish tendency(MPC value) which led to elevatedbearing temperature. The machineoperated at high risk of outage andtrips.

SOLUTION

Winsonda’s varnish removal unit (WVDII) was recommended and installed tothe reservoir with a flow rate 1200L perhour in June 2020 which is designed tomitigate the varnish potential andimprove the cleanliness.

After 30 days purification, client hasreceived a good MPC value in lube test.The temperature of bearing went downand ISO code told the fact that the oilwas restored to a clean and healthylevel. No need to concerns about theincreased temperature at the end ofJuly because suspended sludge hasremoved and the solubility of oilimproved which attributed to varnishon metal surface dissolved into oil.
